Fran Logan
Fran Logan is the Australian Labor Party Member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for Cockburn, and the Minister for Emergency Services & Corrective Services in the McGowan Labor Government since March 2017. Prior to Labor's state election win in March 2017, he was Shadow Minister for Housing, Local Jobs, Training and Workforce Development. Mr Logan retired from politics at the 2021 state elections.

Mr Logan trained as a mechanic in England before emigrating to Western Australia in 1980. He worked in the aircraft and mining industries in New South Wales and Western Australia; and was a trade research officer, industrial advocate and organiser with the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union from 1986 until entering parliament in 2001.

Mr Logan holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics at Sydney University where he won the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia National Award for his thesis on examining Australia's trade relations with Japan and China.
