Sally Anne Hasluck OAM trained as a teacher in London but has been associated with museum work since 1974.

Ms Hasluck was the inaugural curator of the newly established Claremont Museum from 1974 to 1994 before establishing a museum consultancy. She was made a 'Freeman' of the Town of Claremont in recognition of her 20 years of involvement with the museum and local heritage, and was a Trustee of the WA Museum until 2001.

Ms Hasluck was president of the Museums Association (WA Branch), council member of the National Museum of Australia, and was awarded an Anzac Fellowship in 1991 to study museums in New Zealand. In 2013, she became president of The Royal Western Australian Historical Society for a term of three years, and continues to sit on the council.

Ms Hasluck has attended museum conferences in Australia and overseas, and has published articles in various journals reflecting on her work as the director of one of Perth's most successful community-based museums.

In 2010, she was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to museum administration in Western Australia and as a Councillor of the National Museum.
