Westgold Resources has appointed GR Engineering to carry out a processing and surface infrastructure study for its Central Murchison gold project.
The Perth-based company also provided an update on a definitive feasibility study for the mine; saying it had identified 19 open pit mineral resources at Central Murchison, and three significant underground mines.
Westgold is aiming to establish a central processing facility at the project to blend multiple ore sources, commencing with open pit production in the initial two to three years while access to the underground deposits is established.
Environmental studies are underway.
At 1:07PM (WST) Westgold shares were down 3 per cent, at 19 cents.
