Hall & Prior proceeds with $67m development

Hall & Prior Health and Aged Care Group has today announced plans to proceed with a $67 million aged care facility in High Wycombe, due for completion in the second half of 2019.

The group is the state's fifth largest aged care provider, according to the BNiQ Search Engine ranked on number of beds, and currently has 14 nursing homes across Western Australia and 10 more in NSW.

Once the Karingal Green aged care facility is completed, Hall & Prior's total bed count will jump to 1,020, ranking it third on the BNiQ list of aged care providers in WA.

The aged care provider has secured a $12 million zero real interest loan from the Commonwealth government, $37 million in senior debt from National Australia Bank and $8.7 million from a local third party investor to complete the project.

A builder will be selected via a tendor process as part of the development’s next stage.

Set for a location on Hawkevale Road, Karingal Green will provide residential, community and home care services to Perth’s eastern suburbs.

It will house 160 residential aged care beds and have the capacity to look after the long-term needs of more than 150 home care clients living in the community, catering to both high-dependency and lower care residents.

Karingal Green will also host a residential wing of eight beds specificially for the care and lifestyle needs of younder residents aged 60 years or less, who require constant care support but currently have limited options or accessibility to these services in the Perth eastern metropolitan area.
