Drug and alcohol support service Holyoake has strengthened its growing social enterprise revenue with a new partnership focused on mental health in the workplace.
Holyoake has joined forces with psychological services and training provider Centrecare Corporate and workplace mental health consultants Blooming Minds.
The three groups will collaborate on programs for the corporate sector, with referrals between the parties expected to increase business for Holyoake’s existing corporate services programs.
Holyoake runs two specific corporate-focused programs: Wellbeing@Work, which helps employers deal with substance misuse; and Drumbeat, which uses music and rhythm as a teambuilding exercise.
Holyoake chief executive Angie Paskevicius has been leading the not for profit’s efforts to increase revenues through social enterprise.
Such revenue now accounts for 30 per cent of the organisation’s overall revenue. Ms Paskevicius hopes to increase that to 50 per cent in the not too distant future.
She said Holyoake was motivated to collaborate with CentreCare Corporate and Blooming Minds to improve awareness of, and investment in, workers’ mental health.
“Corporate wellness is increasingly a priority in many organisations but the emphasis is often on physical health, with mental health lagging behind,” she said.
“We’re hopeful this collaboration will help turn around that worrying trend by offering companies easy access to a holistic range of programs to help them reduce the cost of mental health issues on their team members and bottom line.”
