THE team at Access 31 has made a decision to seek legal advice in a bid to maintain their brand recognition and growing audience numbers across Perth.
The Law and You, currently in production, is an informative program with a panel of senior lawyers who respond to legal queries sent in to the station.
Sponsored and hosted by Perth law firm Friedman Lurie Singh, the program will address specific queries and raise public awareness of legal issues.
A similar format has proved popular for Sweet & Sour, a community talk show where home viewers are invited to send in personal problems, which are then discussed on the show on Saturday night with the help of special guests and the four presenters.
Access 31 has recently negotiated a sponsorship deal with the Australian Independent Hoteliers Association to stage live shows from hotels around Perth.
The hotel covers the set-up costs for the show, with Access 31 providing a professional crew to shoot the show for the live broadcast, Access 31 state sales manager Mark Carter said.
“My role as head of sponsor-ship is to show small to medium sized businesses who normally wouldn’t ever advertise on television, because of the cost, to look at us,” he said.
In the latest survey (October 2000), Access 31 achieved a cumulative audience of more than 300,000 and more than 80 per cent public awareness.
