International insurance broker Lockton Australia has signed a 750 square metre lease at a newly completed office building on Vincent Street in the centre of Leederville.
The building, located at 297 Vincent Street, was completed earlier this month, while there is a total of 1,740sqm over two floors still available to lease.
Colliers International office leasing executive Daniel Taylor said the building was drawing significant interest and he expected the remaining space to be leased quickly.
“This is a prime CBD-fringe precinct which has been undergoing a significant evolution, but to date has included very little office space – and what has been available has been largely older stock, which may not suit the quality and pace requirements of modern tenants,” Mr Taylor said.
The four storey building was developed by privately held company Milto Pty Ltd, which is an entity controlled by ASX-listed engineering firm Matrix Composites & Engineering’s major shareholders, the Begley family.
The transaction was brokered jointly by Colliers International and Burgess Rawson, while commercial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
Burgess Rawson associate director Clive Norman said Leederville offices held considerable appeal for a large range of tenants.
“Leederville offers a high-profile location, minutes out of the CBD and with a fantastic level of established amenity in the Oxford Street bar and café strip, which is only steps away from the building,” Mr Norman said.
“You’ve got near unbeatable transport links with the Leederville train station, bus network and freeway entrances all on your doorstep.”
