Developers have made progress on a pair of near-city apartment projects, with construction starting on a $15.5 million complex in Highgate by Momentum Wealth, while Willing Property has secured approval for its Clifton & Central project in Mount Lawley.
In Highgate, Momentum Wealth appointed Pindan to build a seven-storey, 35-apartment project located at 66-70 Wright Street.
Designed by Scanlan Architects, the development comprises a range of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
Construction is expected to be complete by mid-2021.
Pindan general manager Simon Greenlaw said the project would be a great addition to the Highgate area.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Momentum Wealth in a design and construct capacity to bring this bespoke project to life,” he said.
Momentum Wealth development manager Phil Anderson said the project would underline Highgate’s status as a sought-after suburb.
“This landmark project will help strengthen Highgate’s value as a quality and desirable suburb, in turn helping to meet growing buyer demand for high-quality apartment product in prime, inner-city locations,” he said.
In Mount Lawley, the Metropolitan North West Joint Development Assessment Panel issued its approval for Willing Property's Clifton & Central project late last week.

JDAP documents indicate the project, a range of terrace homes, loft apartments, a deli and a future wine bar, will cost around $5.75 million to construct.
Designed by MJA Studio, Clifton & Central will comprise 15 dwellings and seven commercial tenancies, including the restoration of an 85-year-old corner store into a cafe known as Deli on Central.
Marketing is expected to be officially launched in coming weeks, while the deli is the second cafe opened by Willing Property founder Tim Willing.
