NATIONAL Australia Bank has signed on as the national sponsor for SportingPulse, an organisation that acts in part as a support to the development of grassroots sports.
NAB will help fund the communications and sports management systems that support grassroots sport in Australia and will become the official naming sponsor of SportingPulse’s initiatives, including NAB young local footballer of the year, NAB local rising star, NAB AFL season leaders and NAB AFL selected teams.
“We’re very pleased to be able to support SportingPulse in the great work that they do powering local sport,” NAB general manager marketing, business and wholesale banking, Caroline Ralphsmith said.
SportingPulse general manager Nick Maywald said SportingPulse was passionate about improving the administration and communications around grassroots sport and making it more enjoyable for everyone involved.
“With NAB’s support, we can continue to develop cutting-edge products that will create efficiencies for volunteers and help with the administration and financial management of their clubs and associations,” he said.
In addition, SportingPulse has developed a funding model whereby money raised through its commercial agreements with major brands allows it to provide associations and clubs with digital solutions at no cost, while 50 per cent of the revenue gets reinvested back into the sports to go towards equipment, coaching and development.
