National awards for The Hub, Bethanie

PERTH-BASED The Hub Marketing Communications has won a national award for its work with the ‘2015 Revealed: emerging Aboriginal artists’ event.

Managing director Nicolle Jenkins said research by The Hub found that every $1 spent publicising the exhibition, marketplace and professional development program generated $4.20 in sales for emerging Aboriginal artists, while attendance grew 27 per cent.

Aged care provider Bethanie won the ‘marketing on a shoestring award’ at the same Australian Marketing Institute Awards.

Bethanie general manager of marketing and brand, Chris Frame, said the organisation had successfully expanded Bethanie community care into the South West following a $1,500 marketing campaign.

“Being able to work out ways to make a big impact with a small budget means more seniors are made aware of the critical and life-changing care services available to them,” he said.

Perth-based telecommunications company iiNet, which sponsors the Hawthorn Football Club and Sydney Sixers won the sponsorship award for its partnership with the Big Bash League cricket team.
