THE RAC launched its new Community Partnerships and Grass Roots Grants programs last week in a bid to support the state’s not-for-profit and charitable organisations.
The Community Partnerships and Grass Roots Grants programs will offer funding to organisations that are committed to making a significant contribution and difference to the Western Australian community, and whose activities are closely aligned to the RAC’s advocacy program to create a safe, accessible and sustainable transport system.
The RAC will provide up to $15,000 for community partnerships to assist organisations to coordinate projects/initiatives and up to $5,000 to assist in promoting the initiative.
For Grass Roots Grants, the RAC will provide funding of up to $2,000 for initiatives that provide a clear benefit to the community.
RAC sponsorship spokesperson Ralph Bates said it was important the RAC supported community projects that aligned with the organisation’s goals.
“The RAC is a member-based organisation and is focused on keeping Western Australians moving freely, safely and sustainably,” he said.
“As a mutual organisation part of our commitment to WA and our members is to ensure that funds are directed to worthy projects that will help to make a difference in their community.”
