Two Western Australian information technology companies have captured the attention of the world’s largest technology firms.
Both ASG Group and Ignia have won awards for work from global heavyweights.
ASG Group has been singled out by Oracle for its business analytics expertise - winning both the Global Excellence Award for Specialized Partner of the Year in Business Analytics and Asia Pacific Oracle Business Analytics Partner of the Year awards.
It’s the first time a company from Australia or New Zealand has won the global award.
ASG Group chief executive Geoff Lewis said the awards were a testament to the company’s work in implementing cloud-based technology, such as analytics as a service.
“It is significant recognition by Oracle, the world’s largest software company, that ASG’s investment in their innovative business strategy is globally seen as the first step to get it right in delivering definitive business outcomes and producing results worthy of such a prestigious award,” Mr Lewis said.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has selected Ignia from over 400 IT firms as its Australian Enterprise Partner of the year.
The award is said to acknowledge Ignia for its leadership in driving Microsoft-based solutions to improve customer’ business processes and performance.
The company was also recognised for its strong commitment to technical excellence, training and innovation in cloud and mobility services.
Chief executive Phil Rickson said the awards were recognition of hard work.
“For the past year we have focused on designing several frameworks to enhance project delivery for our clients and developing solutions that deliver quick wins and impressive results,” Mr Rickson said.
