Mike McLerie has been Chevron Australia’s Technology Manager since 2012 and leads and manages the company’s technology plan and portfolio.

Technology plays an important role in helping Chevron deliver its corporate strategies. The Technology Department utilises in-house expertise, proprietary solutions and strategic partnerships to facilitate innovation and new technology for Chevron Australia.

Mike has extensive experience in the petroleum resources industry having worked in the industry for more than 30 years and with Chevron for 28 years, including two years at its head office in San Ramon, California.
Beginning as an exploration geophysicist, Mike has held a number of technical and managerial positions at Chevron. Mike’s previous roles include operations geophysicist, development geologist, explorationist, Greater Gorgon Area manager (Exploration), subsurface technology manager, exploration manager and appraisal and non operated joint venture subsurface manager.

Mike’s credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geophysics) (1983), Graduate Diploma in Applied Physics (Petroleum Exploration) (1984), both from Curtin University, as well as graduating from the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course (2009) .
