In 2010 the ASX Corporate Governance Council (CGC) introduced Diversity Recommendations to its Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations in response to corporate Australia’s woeful record on diversity.

In 2014, after two full years of reporting, the ASX commissioned KPMG to provide an analysis of the disclosures by a range of listed entities including – of particular relevance to WA Boards - a selection of 200 entities in the ASX5001+ group by market cap.

Board diversity is a competitive advantage, bringing real value to boards by adding to the collective skills and experience of the organisation.

Join us as we discuss the outcome of this analysis and the quality of disclosures as they relate to listed companies in WA.

Join us for the final West End Briefing for 2014, where you will hear from Directors who have been successful in complying with these reporting obligations and how they developed, implemented and successfully monitored measureable objectives to achieve success in the diversity of their Board, management and workforce.
