Peak Iron Mines is a 100% Australian-owned iron ore mining, development and exploration company with major projects in the South Australian Gawler Craton. It was established in April 2019 for the purpose of acquiring the Peculiar Knob Mine, the Hawks Nest Iron Project (EL 6395) which includes the Buzzard Project, and a suite of other tenements in the Coober Pedy area.
Peak, through its wholly owned subsidiaries Southern Iron and Central Iron, operates the Peculiar Knob DSO hematite mining operation and the Hawks Nest DSO hematite & magnetite projects. All tenements were purchased from the administrators of Arrium Iron Ore Holdings in July 2019.
Peak’s head office is located in Perth, with satellite offices in Adelaide and at the Peculiar Knob mine site.
